Our Story began in 2005, nestled in the old stable block behind the Grey Horse, we found our home, where we began to create our award-winning beers. The hard work began from day one and our Master Brewer, Rufus, has been putting in the hard graft ever since. His traditional methods of brewing are paired with the purest of ingredients, creating the finest of traditional brews. Our combination of the UKs finest hops and malts, brought together with the purest water Derwent Valley has to offer, produces the ales we all know and love. A lot has changed in the world of brewing since we kicked off, but we’re determined to keep the traditional spark alive, honouring those that really deserve a thirst-quenching pint, the workers.
